Join us Downtown at the Center for New Liberalism headquarters to discuss crime, violence, and public safety with Peace For DC Executive Director, Marcus Ellis.
Peace For DC is a local nonprofit that galvanizes community-based organizations, philanthropy, experts, and policymakers in a collective effort to reduce gun violence across Washington, DC.
Marcus Ellis serves as the Executive Director of Peace For DC, previously he was the Chief of Staff at the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement for the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington DC. He has also served as the Director of the Safer Stronger DC Community Partnerships Office for DC’s Deputy Mayor of Health and Human Services. He has dedicated his career to public safety in DC, community violence intervention, and advocating for peace in our neighborhoods.

Jordan is one of the region's foremost experts on how people get around and covers everything from WMATA to road congestion, tolls, bike and pedestrian issues and more. He'll be sitting down with us to answer your questions about transit and transportation in the greater DC area.

Join us, Thursday February 23rd at 7:00pm as we discuss Arlington County’s Missing Middle Housing policy proposal. Our guests will include the YIMBYs of NoVA leadership team. Topics will include the contentiousness of the debate, how it has shaped local politics, what the policy would entail, and where things go from here.
The conversation will continue at 8:00pm with a brief social nearby (location TBA).
