Come join the LA New Liberals for the opening of the new K Line!

The LA New Liberals are a group of liberals dedicated to more housing, transportation, and immigration in Los Angeles.

The new K metro line is opening this Friday, and the LA New Liberals are going to ride it!

While it was first conceived in 1967, the K Line was made possible by the passage of Measure R in 2008, which levied a half-cent sales tax per dollar. In 2014, it broke ground, and after nearly a decade of construction is finally opening.

Rides on Metro lines and Metro bikes are free this week. The line goes south down to LAX, where it is expected to connect to their new transit system by 2024.

We'll be meeting at noon at the Expo/Crenshaw line. Bring any of your friends who might be interested in the future of the city!
