Center for New Liberalism Celebrates Launch of Congressional YIMBY Caucus
WASHINGTON – The Center for New Liberalism is thrilled to celebrate the launch of the Congressional YIMBY (Yes In My Backyard) Caucus, a bipartisan coalition committed to advancing a pro-housing agenda in America. Co-chaired by Reps. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.), Jake Auchincloss (D-Mass.), Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz.), Scott Peters (D-Calif.), Chuck Edwards (R-N.C.), Brittany Pettersen (D-Colo.), and Marc Molinaro (R-N.Y.), this caucus represents a monumental step toward addressing the nation’s housing challenges with practical, forward-thinking solutions.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the launch of this new caucus and are thrilled to see so many friends of the Center for New Liberalism as co-chairs or members of the caucus, including Reps. Petersen, Peters, and Auchincloss,” said CNL Director and Co-Founder Colin Mortimer. “Over the next few years, we look forward to seeing more innovative ideas like the YIMBY Act put forward by the caucus to promote pro-growth policies, and we are ready to support the caucus and help it continue to grow.
