The Messenger: 2 Center-Left Advocacy Groups Join Forces Ahead of 2024 Election
A burgeoning online community of center-left activists is merging with an advocacy group that supports “pragmatic” Democratic leaders to maximize centrists’ impact ahead of the 2024 election.
The Center for New Liberalism (CNL), a grassroots organization of “pragmatically liberal” activists with 55 chapters in the United States, is merging with New Democracy, a social welfare organization that serves as a “home base” for “pragmatic” Democratic governors, mayors, state officials, as well as members of Congress.
“We grew from a small online community of young center-left activists to more than 70 organized chapters globally. We look forward to supporting our local chapters as they work to elect pragmatic Democrats to office,” said Colin Mortimer, director of the Center for New Liberalism.
