RELEASE: New Liberals Organize for Moderate Democrats
This week, the New Liberals completed their 2022 midterm voter engagement initiative supporting center-left Democrats at the local, state House, and Senate levels. This includes significant engagement in Virginia, Washington, New York, and Illinois.
This brings our total engagement to 12,000 doors knocked and several events with Democratic candidates, including Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-WA), Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL), and candidates for local and state office.
“Democrats can only keep the House if moderates win on Tuesday,” said Colin Mortimer, Managing Director of the Center for New Liberalism. “This initiative is part of our continued commitment to help Democrats hold the majority and fight for the liberal values that the Republican Party seeks to destroy.”
New Liberals were also on the ground to knock on doors for Rep. Pat Ryan (NY-19) and Rep. Kim Schrier (D-WA).
