Opening Reception with REp. Scott Peters (CA-50)

We will be kicking off our programming with a reception where CNL members and those interested in building a center-left majority will be able to network. The evening will include opening remarks from the hosts and our special guest, Representative Scott Peters. This reception will be open to all NLAS registrants as well as the general public, with prior registration.

CNL members will attend scheduled meetings with offices of members of Congress to discuss issues most pressing to them, to their communities, and to discuss pragmatic ways forward.

Those who are not attending meetings will take part in a tour of the Capitol hosted by Progressive Policy Institute Congressional Fellows.

The first day of NLAS DC concludes with a reception to cap off the day.

Saturday, July 15th

CNL Retreat

Location: New Democracy, 1156 15th St. NW, Washington DC 20005

The CNL retreat is a hands-on interactive series of trainings to better empower CNL chapter leads and members to be better organizers and to strengthen their chapters.

CNL POLITICAL ACTION

Location: Manassas, VA

Time: 1:45 PM — 6:00 PM

CNL members are heading to Manassas, Virginia, to go canvass for Michelle Maldonado, candidate for Virginia House of Delegates District 20. In addition to having a great policy platform, Michelle is notable for having beat self-described communist Lee Carter in the primary election in 2022.
