New Liberal Regional Action Project
We’re challenging you to come up with a proposal, as a CNL member or as anyone interested in taking action, to promote new liberal values in your community, strengthen center-left Democrats, grow your local CNL chapter, or start one, or invest in progress in your community.
When thinking about your proposal, keep in mind that we are not typically looking to fund a one-off event. Instead, we’re particularly interested in:
A medium to long-term project that commences in the fall 2023
An event series, covering one or various topics
An initiative that helps to scale new liberalism in your area
We’ll give you up to $10,000 to invest in new liberal action in your community
We invite you to submit your proposal by June 30.

To submit a proposal, you can complete the application below by June 30. The initial proposal can just be a general idea for local impact, and we’ll help you expand and refine your proposal in round 2.
At the end of the month, we’ll reach out to select applicants to participate in a brief interview and together workshop your proposal in more detail. The second and final round of proposals closes on July 31 and we plan to make final decisions by August 14.
